Brown Oak Contemporary Kitchen

Combining the natural warmth of oak with beautifully detailed porcelain worktops, this contemporary kitchen brings together rich textures, seamless finishes and clever design features.

This kitchen was designed with a focus on creating a clean, cohesive look, where every element works together beautifully

The Kitchen Design

A key part of the design was ensuring consistency throughout the kitchen. Matching handle rails, plinths and ceiling fillers create a seamless finish, while the carcases complement the warm cabinetry.

The island provides a striking feature within the space, with a full waterfall worktop that continues down to the floor. Careful consideration was also given to the different worktop thicknesses, with reduced plinth heights on the island ensuring that both worktop surfaces sit at the same height.

Our Design Choices

We used Rotpunkt’s Zerox VER SY cabinetry in Scandinavian Brown Oak, bringing warmth and natural texture to the kitchen.

Matching handle rails with built-in LED lighting add a subtle contemporary detail, while the Dark Clay carcases provide a complementary finish. The matching plinths and ceiling fillers help tie everything together, giving the cabinetry a beautifully consistent appearance.

The worktops are Atlas Plan Taj Mahal Noisette porcelain, chosen for their beautiful natural stone-inspired appearance and warm tones. The porcelain was mitred to create a 30mm profile along the sink run and a more substantial 60mm profile on the island, which features a full waterfall edge.

For cooking, we incorporated a Bora Pure induction hob with integrated extraction, with the ducting cleverly routed beneath the floor. All appliances are fully integrated to maintain the kitchen’s streamlined look.

A Quooker Flex Pro3 tap in patinated brass adds a lovely finishing touch, bringing another warm metallic detail to the design.

The integrated LED lighting within the matching handle rails provides a subtle lighting feature, while the coordinated plinths and ceiling fillers create a seamless appearance throughout.

The island’s full waterfall worktop is another beautiful feature of the design. By reducing the plinth heights on the island, we were able to accommodate the thicker 60mm worktop profile while keeping the finished worktop height consistent with the sink run.

The finished kitchen brings together natural warmth, contemporary styling and carefully considered details.

The combination of Scandinavian Brown Oak cabinetry, warm porcelain surfaces and carefully considered finishing details creates a contemporary space full of character.
